United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Article 4.1 (a) and Article 12

Decree of July 7, 1999, which creates the Interministerial Commission on Global Climate Change          

Purpose

Periodical preparation of the national annual inventory of greenhouse gas emissions and development of research into emission factors and activity levels in the sectors of energy, industry, solvent use, agriculture, land-use change and forestry, and waste treatment.

Implementation of actions

As the work relative to the inventory that is part of the initial National Communication is being concluded still in the first semester of this year, greenhouse gas emission estimates will be disseminated, and the development of research into emission factors and activity levels will be encouraged in the sectors of energy, transport, industry, solvent use, land-use change and forestry, agriculture and livestock, and waste treatment.
