The Bureau of International Affairs – (ASSIN) advises the departments of the Ministry of Science and Technology and its linked bodies with regard to activities related to cooperation with international organisms, bodies and foreign governments, as well as matters related to the achievement of international agreements that concern science and technology of social, economical and strategic relevance to the country.
General Coordinating Body for International Cooperation – (CGTI)

The General Coordinating Body for International Cooperation – (CGTI) has as goals:

To participate in, study, propose and coordinate negotiations;

To observe the execution of international cooperation agreements;

To identify opportunities for international cooperation;

To follow activities at the United Nations and coordinate and guide the participation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, its research units and linked entities in international negotiations, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Relations. (MRE)
General Coordinating Body for Space Issues – (CGAE)
This body responsible for coordinating, with the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) - in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Relations (MRE), the analysis, negotiation and preparation of texts of international agreements concerning space activities signed by the Agency.
General Coordinating Body for Sensitive Items (CGBE)
The CGBE aims to implement national controls on the transfer of sensitive items (imported and exported) established by international disarmament and non-proliferation conventions and rules. In this context, the CGBE is the Executive Secretariat of the Convention for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (CWC) National Authority and the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) National Authority, as well as the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) National Focal Point.
