Conclusions

At its 4 th meeting, on 15 September, having considered a proposal by the Chairman, the SBSTA adopted the following conclusions:

(a) The SBSTA took note with appreciation of documents FCCC/SBSTA/2000/9 and Add.1, FCCC/SBSTA/2000/INF.7/Add.1, FCCC/SBSTA/2000/MISC.6 and Add.1-2 and FCCC/SBSTA/2000/MISC.8;

(b) The SBSTA invited the Chairman, with the assistance of the secretariat, to further develop the annex of document FCCC/SBSTA/2000/10/Add.2, taking into account oral and written views expressed by Parties at the first part of its thirteenth session, notably document FCCC/SBSTA/2000/MISC.8, and views expressed by Parties during the inter-sessional informal consultations to be held in Viterbo, Italy, from 9 to 11 October, and to present a revised text for consideration at the second part of its thirteenth session, with a view to recommending draft decision text to the Conference of the Parties at its sixth session, for adoption by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol at its first session;

(c) The SBSTA, having given initial consideration to country-specific data provided by Parties in accordance with the conclusions of the SBSTA at its twelfth session (FCCC/SBSTA/2000/5, para. 32 (d)), urged Parties that had not yet supplied complete data, to do so by 1 November 2000, using the agreed data format.
